Southeast Fishing Report – Ft Lauderdale
October 6th, 2008
This afternoon Darin and I took Mike and his wife from the UK and Mark from Boston fishing. Everybody wanted to catch fish and enjoy the sunny afternoon. 30 minutes into our trip we had 3 Bonito’s in the live well for later use at a wreck. Planners were in the water and so were the kingfish. Double headers left and right, along with a small ‘cuda. We relocated to a wreck and started dropping live bait. We hit up 3 wrecks and didn’t even get a nibble. There was one last spot on our list. Two live bullets were out and a huge Barracuda jumped out of the water. It put on a good show for everybody, and put up a good fight for Mark.
Total catch = 9 Kingfish, 3 Bonito’s, 2 Barracuda’s
