Great summer Fishing in Fort Lauderdale
The Lady Pamela II sportfishing boats continue to land nice-sized king mackerel off the troll in 90-110 feet of water. One fish that went twenty lbs. put on a spectacular aerial display. This fish hit the bait, made a fast surface run, went deep, then exploded out of the water about 50 ft. from the boat. It skyrocketed straight up in the air at least twenty feet. Captain JJ was at the helm and the fish went above him! Despite all the acrobatics, our angler still got the fish in the boat. The crew also had time for a little sharkfishing and hooked up about a 200 lb. hammerhead shark.

Captain Darin and JJ worked the Lady Pamela IV together on a morning charter. The king mackerels were around again this morning and they hooked into, and boated a monster 45 lb. “smoker” king. They also a caught a 7 ft. sailfish while trolling for more kings in 110 ft. of water. This was quite a surprise for our anglers as sailfish weren’t really the target species! You never know what you are going to catch in the waters off Ft. Lauderdale!
