The sportfishing has heated up and so have the temps in South Florida. Don’t worry all our boats have full ice cold a/c for those that need to take a break from the heat while fishing.
Offshore we have been catching bonito, sharks, and blackfin tunas with some big kingfish mixed in. We lost about a 60 pound cobia at the boat the other day, so they are starting to show up too.
The mahi have been a little scarce, but I suspect they are much further offshore and will start to push in when we get a good east wind.
The highlight of the week was a small eye thresher shark we caught. This beautiful fish was caught on our shark fishing charter, with our repeat customers who have fished with us many times. It started out slow, but Captain Mark knew it was a thresher as soon as the line started to scream.
