The really nice south Florida weather returned today, and some good fishing was on the agenda. Two of the Lady Pamela sportfishing trips started out by trolling the deep reef. Both boats were busy as the kingfish and bonitos were snapping up every bait that could be tossed.
The wreckfishing has been pretty slow the last few weeks, so another of the Lady Pamela fleet went to shark fishing in 350 feet of water. Plenty of fresh bonito was available for bait, and the sharks were ready to eat. Our anglers boated a nice bull shark, a sandbar shark and a great gray hammerhead shark.

Today, it was great to have Dan and Dan (father and son) back for some fishing with Mike and I. I hadn’t seen either of them for two years. They used to fish with us quite a lot, but we hadn’t seen them for two years. Young Dan got the wanderlust and moved away to Hawaii for surfing. We got to catch up on a lot of stuff on the way out.
Young Dan has always been a very lucky guy and it showed again today. We went straight to shark fishing and the baits weren’t out 5 minutes before top bait got a hit. Thirty minutes later Dan brought a huge hammerhead shark, well over six feet, to the boat. After tagging the monster hammerhead, Mike got three more baits out and then we waited. We finally got a bite and big Dan got into the fighting chair. It was a big bull shark and big Dan taught this monster a lesson! Thanks guys for coming out, it was great fun catching up on all your latest news.
Tight Lines,
