October 2015 Fort Lauderdale Fishing Forecast

Miami Fishing Charters

Offshore
The Fort Lauderdale weather’s been beautiful this week with the first little cold front of the year having made its way through and Lady Pamela II sportfishing is ready for the fall fishing. We anticipate seeing the sailfishing really pick up with this cooler weather. The mullet run through southeast Florida has just started and this bait migration really kicks the fishing into high gear. There are small schools of mullet and pilchards on the reef off Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale and those will get bigger over the course of the month. The king mackerel will be all over the bait balls, as will the bonitos and blackfin tunas.
Driftfishing
The nighttime snapper fishing has been pretty consistent with mixed catches of yellowtail, mutton snappers and a few grouper. With schools back in session, and Friday night football to occupy many people, it is not too crowded aboard the Lady Pamela III for nighttime snapper fishing. The Friday and Saturday night trips are really a lot of fun, even more so with the cooler weather. During the daytime we are seeing red groupers, gray triggers, mutton snappers, porgys, grunts and even a kingfish or two!. Time to go fishing; give Lady Pamela II a call!
