Today Lady Pamela II sportfishing took Pat and his family from Ohio out for some angling. We went out on an afternoon trip as fishing has been a little bit better later in the day. We met the bait boat on the way out of Port Everglades inlet, bought a dozen live goggleyes, then ran down south and put up the kites. We caught mahi after mahi, with every fish over 10 pounds. These were nice gaffer fish that filled the box nicely. A frisky six-foot silky shark also grabbed a bait and gave up quite a good fight. Ten minutes after the shark battle was over a sailfish showed up and hammered one of the surface baits. Pat’s family had never caught a billfish before so this was an extra special hookup for the crew. A 5 foot Atlantic sailfish was eventually brought to the back of the boat for pictures and a release to round out a spectacular fishing trip.
Tight Lines,
