Sailfish season is taking off as we speak and the bite is on in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The winter months come in at number one for catching Sailfish and the conditions are prefect; wind and cool temperatures. Live bait kite fishing is key to landing the Ballerina of the Sea. When we present our bait by suspending it from the kite, it’s almost like a win win situation when there out there. Nothing compares to watching a Sailfish swim through your spread and take your bait. The excitement only gets better from that point on. These Billfish are known for there series of air born cartwheels, where they dance on the surface chasing bait, right in front of your eyes. Talk about action. Today, that is exactly what we got, action.
This morning, Elliot and his son Mike joined the Lady Pamela II, looking to have a good time fishing offshore Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The wind was present and so were the Sailfish. We went 2 for 5, that’s a lot of action on the surface and in the pit. One fish was over 6 ft in length, it was unreal. Great job out there guys! Sea ya next year.
This afternoon, we left the dock a 1 PM for round two. David Huston and his family joined Mell on a shared charter with live goggle eyes and there game faces. We headed offshore and decided to go north for a rippin south current. It was a good decision. The Lady Pamela II guided our anglers to the spot. We went 4 for 6 on the Atlantic Sailfish while live bait kite fishing just a mile from the beach.
Tight Lines!
