Fishing Fort Lauderdale
Today turned out to be mahi-mahi day as both the Lady Pamela II and Lady Pamela IV caught a bunch of big mahi, up to 25 lbs. These fish were in close too, as we found them working weedlines and a current rip in between 200 and 400 feet of water. The fish were not in big schools, but each hookup seemed to bring two or three fish in behind the boats for additional hookups on pitched baits. The crew also caught a few nice blackfin tunas.
The kingfish bite took off during the afternoon trips, with both boats bringing in multiple nice fish in the 20 lb. range. These fish were caught tight along the reef edge in 110 feet of water, north of the inlet off Ft. Lauderdale beach.
Tight Lines,
