Today Adam and I had a six hour charter on the Lady Pamela II with the Kelm party, and we had some great fishing. We spent a good part of the morning catching vermillion and yelloweye snappers in 315 feet of water. The yelloweyes were good-sized ranging up to 6 lbs. It was surprising catching fish of this size considering the water depth we were fishing. In the Bahamas you generally can’t find a yelloweye in less than 600 feet of water. Our anglers also caught a really nice cobia while snapper fishing that weighed in at about 25 lbs
Toward the end of the charter we switched to some sharkfishing in 350 feet of water. About 40 minutes after setting out the baits we got a big bite. The Kelm group fought this shark for nearly 30 minutes before pulling the hooks. The fight sure was exciting
while it lasted!
Tight Lines.
