Fishing today was great, with great people on board the Lady Pamela II. It was a typical summer morning in Fort Lauderdale, flat calm seas and a slight breeze coming out of the SE at 5mph. As soon as we broke the inlet, the fresh bonito strips and seawitches went in the water and we began trolling. The King Mackerel and Bonito fish weren’t hiding. We caught 6 Kingfish and 10 Bonito fish in 3 hrs of fishing. Right around the 3 hr mark, I noticed a Sailfish poking at the right short along with a King Mackerel and a Barracuda on the line, tripleheader. After the Sailfish catch, we continued to troll the reef and the King Mackerel continued to bite.
The Lady Pamela III went deep sea fishing in the afternoon with a family from Canada. Trolling led to Shark fishing which led to a wicked bite from a big Nurse Shark. Rusty, Eric and all the anglers who pitched in did a great job.
