Fort Lauderdale Fishing

Around 1PM, the Lady Pamela II and III set sail out of Fort Lauderdale. Aboard the Lady Pamela II, we had a boat show repeat client interested in hooking up with a Hammerhead Shark. Shark fishing takes place in the spring here in Fort Lauderdale but you never know what you’re going to catch while deep sea fishing in South Florida. We trolled the reef in search of Mahi Mahi and King Mackerel for 2 hours without a bite. We decided it was time to move on and try our luck with a bloody King Mackerel while the Lady Pamela III was live bait kite fishing on an edge north of Port Everglades in 460 ft of water. Adam hooked a Sailfish and a 7lb Mahi aboard the Lady Pamela III just before we got the bite. I floored the boat ahead as Patrick jumped into the fighting chair. After a tough 30 minute battle, Patrick got a good look at his Hammerhead Shark he always wanted to catch while fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I called Adam shortly after our catch and release and he had not only 1 but 2 Sailfish behind the boat, both over 5 ft in length.
