Lady Pamela II sportfishing tries to accommodate any and all sportfishing requests, normally fishing the waters off of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Today however, we had two boats fishing out of the Boca Raton Hotel and Club, hosting several groups of conventioneers anxious for some morning fishing action off Boca Raton. Captains Darin and David did a great job putting their respective groups of anglers on black groupers, amberjacks, kingfish, a few blackfin tunas, and lots of bonitos.
In the afternoon, Captain David ran the LP II, catching 10 bonitos and a few kingfish. The crew also came upon a few sailfish flagging their dorsal fins on the surface. Unfortunately multiple attempts at trying to get these billfish to take pitched baits were unsuccessful. Sometimes these fish that found on the surface are very finicky and simply will not take a bait.
The Lady Pamela IV was also out in the afternoon, also landing some kingfish and bonitos. A couple of the bonitos were used for fresh shark bait out in 350 feet of water. The crew picked right fishing spot, hooking up a hammerhead shark and a small sandbar shark. It was a very busy, but fun day today!
