The weekend fishing off Ft. Lauderdale turned out as predicted with both the Lady Pamela IV and Lady Pamela III producing some good catches. The LP IV, with Captain Darin at the helm, spent Saturday morning trolling the reef edge, from 90 to 120 feet of water. Seawitch feathers, tipped with bonito strips, and trolled behind planers, were irresistible to both kingfish and bonito. Our anglers were busy with multiple hookups and landings.
The LP III was out both in the morning and the afternoon and also caught a few kings and some bonito during both trips. In the afternoon they also caught a couple of 60 lb. plus amberjacks that put a big bend in the rods and some aches in our fishermen’s arms.
Tight Lines,
Capt David Ide
