Fishing was red hot today. We started out the morning “makin’ bait”; the blue runners, speedos and rainbow runners were cooperating quite nicely. We began trolling in 80-230 ft of water with 6 rods, 4 on the surface and 2 planner rods down 70 ft. The sea witches on the planner rods were attracting King Mackerel after King Mackerel anywhere between 90 and 130 ft of water on the reef. After 6 nice Kingfish, we got a big bite by a summertime Sailfish on the left planner. We got the Sailfish up but lost the 4 ft Sailfish just 3 ft from the boat, bummer.
Drift Fishing in Fort Lauderdale – All Day Dolphin Thursday
Every Thursday, the Lady Pamela III sets sail for an All Day Dolphin trip. Today, Captain Adam left the dock with nine people and had them catching Bonito fish, King Mackerel and Blackfin Tuna within the first hour of fishing. Shortly after they loaded up on King Mackerel, Blackfin Tuna and Bonito fish, they ran to the 57 line 8 miles offshore and found the mother load in 900 ft of water. It was Mahi after Mahi and Wahoo after Wahoo. The biggest Mahi weighed in at 25 lb’s along with a 10 lb Wahoo fish. The All Day Dolphin Trip was a huge success, they ended their day of fishing with 10 nice size Mahi – Mahi and 8 Wahoo fish.
Hey Guys!
Had a great time Thursday on Lady Pamela III, as promised I have the pictures of our trip for that day and the nice group photo you wanted for your website w/ me in the center w/ that big ol cow dolphin.
Sincerely,
Randy
