Hump day Wednesday was a prime fishing day for Lady Pamela II sportfishing. We trolled the reef edge for awhile, bagging a few kingfish and some bonitos. Then it was out into 350 feet of water where we did some deep-dropping. The tilefish bite was still on and our anglers boated 30 nice fish. To top things off we hooked into a big shark that gave our guys a workout. Just as it was getting close enough to the boat to identify, the fish came free and was gone. It turns out the brute actually broke the hook. That’s fishing!
The Lady Pamela III driftboat also had some good fishing, bringing in a nice mix of yellowtail and mangrove snappers, and lots of porgys while bottomfishing. A few surface predators got in on the action as well, with a couple of our anglers landing a kingfish and a blackfin tuna.
