deep sea fishing florida
August 10, 2013
Today was one of those “wow” days aboard the Lady Pamela II. The charter this morning was full of surprises as we caught not one, but two sailfish on the troll. Sailfish are pretty scarce at this time of year and the Pamela is lucky if she can get a bite while kitefishing, let alone catching two while trolling! The fishing success continued as we boated nearly a dozen bonitos and a nice mahi-mahi.

The trolling action was red hot today as we caught a handful of kingfish and 15 bonitos. For a change of pace we dropped some baits on a wreck and one of our anglers hauled in a nice Warsaw grouper. These are a deeper water grouper species that can grow over six feet long and weigh up to 300 lbs. When these fish hit a bait you would think that the rod was going to break. Nice catch today.

The Lady Pamela II had a group of guys from Pittsburgh out today. Everyone was able to get in on the action as we caught 7 kingfish and 13 bonitos. The Pamela even tried a little sharkfishing but could not get any of the toothy predators into the boat. The weather is really looking good throughout the rest of the week. Give us a call and let’s go fishing!
