I was the captain on the Lady Pamela II today, with Darin on board as my mate. We took our charter trolling for blackfin tunas and wahoo, and we caught 3 nice blackfins, with another one breaking off just behind the boat. We also caught five nice kingfish up to 15 lbs. All of our bites were on baits behind planer boards, down 40 to 60 feet.
The Lady Pamela III was also out on our weekly all day dolphin trip. This is a trolling trip in which we take up to 15 people out. The cost is $90 per person that is a great deal. Captain Joe was running the boat and our anglers took turns landing 6 kingfish, a 25 lb mahi-mahi, and 3 blackfin tunas up to 8 lbs. A mako shark came up behind the boat in the afternoon, eating a blackfin tuna that had just taken one of the baits. The shark was close in behind the boat so the crew pitched it another tuna on the right gear and hooked it up. This was a nice 100 lb fish to round out the day. Even though we start out looking for dolphin you never know what we’re going to end up catching! Come join us.
