John Cannon and his buddies from Utah joined the Lady Pamela II crew to go fishing offshore this afternoon. They own a few hunting camps on the West Coast and came to the East Coast to do a little different type of hunting – DEEP SEA FISHING OFFSHORE FORT LAUDERDALE! We were in need of bait; bonito’s and blue runners. While we were trying to catch bait, the kingfish would not leave us alone (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). I told Darin to put out some strips with milar and it worked. We landed 6 nice ones along with a spanish mackerel. We headed to a ship wreck, made a drop and got a bite. Whatever it was, it was pulling some serious line, it pulled itself off. There are several wrecks offshore, so we relocated. Our second drop of the day was it! We got one hell of a bite. After a 45 minute fight, our angler reeled in a 7 ft bullshark. Great catch.
Tight Lines!
