March 2015

March Madness is not just for basketball, it is also March Madness for sportfishing aboard the Lady Pamela II in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. March generally marks the end of the winter here in South Florida, but we still get a few cold fronts to stir up the seas, and that is maddening to us fishermen! The good news is that those cold fronts kick up the sailfish action, the bad news is that it can be pretty rough. In between though, the fishing in March produces lots of monster hammerheads, and other sharks, as well as big wahoo off the reefs. Inshore there can be big schools of Spanish mackerel and kingfish chasing bait pods that move through the area. If you have the time come on down and check out our own March Madness!
