Fort Lauderdale Wreck Fishing in December aboard the Lady Pamela

December 1st, 2010
This afternoon, we had six anglers on a sport fishing charter aboard the Lady Pamela. We left the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort and Spa at 1 PM and headed offshore. A cold front moved in and we all know what that means; great fishing in Fort Lauderdale. The bonito fish were cooperating nicely for us. We caught enough and put them away for later use on the shipwrecks. Shortly after we boated our bonito fish, we began trolling two planners with seawitches and mullet strips along with four top baits in 100 – 250 ft of water. We caught one Kingfish as we trolled the reef making our way to the Bill Boyds wreck. We dropped a live bonito fish on the shipwreck in 260 ft of water. It didn’t take long before David was hooked up with an 80lb rod and reel and a big fish on the other end. David ended the day catching a Greater Amberjack in Fort Lauderdale. The bite slowed down right after.
Pictures to come.
